The Feast of the Seven Fishes started as an Italian-American Christmas Eve dinner of seven seafood dishes. In Fairmont it grew into a whole festival. Every December, downtown fills with food, music, and thousands of people, all celebrating the Italian families who came here for the coal and stayed.
It’s one of the best times to visit. Come hungry and plan to stay a while.
